Hearing Sen. Warren loud and clear: I object to the silencing of Senator Warren during the confirmation hearing of Senator Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. Was the message that negative comments about a nominee are in violation of Senate Rules? If so the confirmation hearings are a joke.

The American people deserve better of our leadership.

Oh well, the Republican’s move to silence Senator Warren had an effect opposite of the intention. Her voice was heard despite the censorship. And louder because of it.

Dereliction of duty: May we never forget the 50 Republican senators who did not vote in the best interest of their constituents and the American people by voting to confirm a completely unqualified person as Secretary of Education. You have let the American people down and have done a grave disservice to our kids and their future. If we need a single rallying cry of complete dereliction of duty to the voters this is it.

Kudos to the two brave senators who stood up to their party and voted their conscience: Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine.
