The athletes in the Super Bowl aren’t the only ones who get to have a good time Sunday. You, too, can get your game on with your friends.
If you’re hosting a party, here are five easy games you can play with a group during commercials, at halftime or even during the game itself:
Super Bowl Bingo
Print off bingo sheets like this one from She Knows and distribute football-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for your friends to use as markers for the squares. Then just watch the game as normal, placing a candy whenever someone partakes in a Gatorade shower, touchdown dance or hair flip. When a player has a full row of candy, they’ll yell “bingo” — and win.
PIGSKIN
Set up a hula hoop on one side of the room (or yard) and make a line of your friends on the other. Hand the first person a football and have them throw the ball into the hoop with style. The next person must copy them, and the next person must copy that person, and so on. If you make a mistake, you get a letter — first one to spell out PIGSKIN loses, according to Party411.
Commercial Judging
If you’re not a sports fan, the best part of the Super Bowl is the commercials. Get involved in the ad madness by making these small scorecards ahead of time. Simply take three popsicles and glue paper numbers on top like so. Let dry, and pass out to your friends. After each commercial, judge and tally up the points.
Potato Chips On The Nose
This, from Celebrations, can get really silly really fast. Whenever a snack commercial comes on, have your group stand. Each person should balance a chip on his or her nose and try to eat it without dropping it. The first person to get his or her chip to his or her mouth wins one point, the second gets two points, and so on. At the very end of the night, tally the total. The winner can take the rest of the chip bag home.
Pop The Balloon
Write football terms on small slips of paper, place inside balloons and blow them up, making sure to only fill one balloon with the “YOU WIN” note. Put all of the balloons in a room of your house and let your guests go wild on them. Whoever pops the balloon that has the slip of paper with the victory notice wins, according to Purple Trail. Everyone else just gets to make a mess.
