Surprise! “The Challenge” veteran Chris “CT” Tamburello is a dad! The longtime MTV star revealed his son in Tuesday’s two-part MTV premiere.
“We’re getting ready for the ‘Challenge.’ We’re getting swole. We’re getting ready to smash some heads,” CT says in episode 2 of “Invasion” as he pushes a stroller. A later clip shows him explaining why he’s dreading leaving for “The Challenge.”
“Now as it gets closer to leaving all I want to do is spend time with this guy right here,” CT says as he pans down to his son Christopher, who looks happily into the camera.
The 36-year-old didn’t share any other details about his personal life, including the identity of the child’s mother or his son’s age, in the episode. However, did dish about fatherhood ahead of the Season 29 premiere.

“I became a father and perspective changes,” Tamburello recently told HollywoodLife. CT added that he spent his time on “The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions” trading baby pictures with his MTV co-stars rather than getting into trouble.
“I know there’s going to come a time where he’s going to see me on TV. I want him to see me as I am today, and not some punk running around with his head cut off, smashing heads, you know,” CT explained. “I wanted to set the right example.”
Ultimately, the MTV veteran said he decided to come back to “The Challenge” after a three-year absence for his son and to better himself.
“I feel like he helped me get my life back,” he said. “Coming on this show, I like to think that I did it for him and for the right reasons.” CT added he’s “most proud” of this season of “The Challenge” and is excited to begin the new chapter of his life.
Last MTV viewers saw CT he appeared in a guest spot in 2015’s “Bloodlines” season in memory of his former girlfriend and teammate Diem Brown. As previously reported, Diem passed away from cancer in November 2014. She and CT last competed together on “Exes II,” which aired the following year. Diem and CT parted the season early due to her health issues.
