During the presidential campaign Donald Trump, the self-proclaimed greatest dealmaker of all time, criticized China for manipulating its currency, building islands in the South China Sea, and using unfair trading practices. This he would stop. President Donald Trump. Ron Sachs | Pool/Getty Images

When President-elect Trump was criticized for taking a call from the leader of Taiwan, he stated the one-China policy was open to negotiation. This gave him leverage.

Now as president he takes a call from China’s leader and apparently assures him that the U.S. will honor the one-China policy. I’d think that we’d be getting a tweet any minute now telling us just what he negotiated for that concession. Can’t wait to see which one of his campaign promises was satisfied.
