Keep your eyes on the sky.
The National Weather Service said early Sunday that snow is headed to Portland with as much as 6 inches expected in the hills. The rest of the city could get 1 to 4 inches.
Snow could start in the morning, but is expected to hold off until the evening.
But a day after the service said that Portland would either get a foot or nothing, the forecasters said they still have low confidence in their projections. “There remains a lot of uncertainty as to how this event will unfold,” the service said, “and rapid changes in the forecast are possible.”
The National Weather Service upgraded its winter storm watch to a winter storm advisory, meaning that snow will make it hard to travel.
