The Powerball jackpot has climbed above the quarter-billion dollar mark for the first time since late November.
Wednesday’s top prize is $255 million with a cash option of $154.4 million. The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and air on WABC-7 in the New York City area nad WPVI-6 near Philadelphia.
Saturday’s drawing produced a $1 million winner in New Jersey and a $2 million winner in Texas, but no one captured the jackpot for the 14th consecutive time.
A Pennsylvania couple won a $121.6 million prize on Dec. 17 with a ticket bought in Delaware.
Before that 20 co-workers at a Tennessee auto manufacturing plant split a $420.9 Powerball jackpot from the Nov. 26 jackpot.
Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
