Prosegur recorded a net profit of 67 million euros during the first nine months of this year, which represents an increase of 35% compared to the same period of 2021, while the consolidated net result, discounting minority interests, stood at 51 million euros, 12.2% more.

Between January and September, Prosegur achieved sales of 3,147 million euros, which represents a growth of 24.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The company has highlighted that it is maintaining the trend of previous quarters with positive dynamics in all lines of business and geographies.

Regarding the profitability of operations, the Ebita stood at 208 million euros, which represents an improvement of 30.7%, while the Ebita margin advanced to 6.6%.

Prosegur recorded an operating cash flow of 119 million euros, improving by 25% the result obtained in the third quarter of 2021, while the net financial debt at the end of September reached 1,133 million euros, with an average cost of 1.53%.

The firm has highlighted that 86% of the group’s debt is at a fixed interest rate, with long-term maturities (2026-2029). The level of indebtedness remains stable at a ratio of 2.4 times net financial debt over Ebitda.

By lines of business, Prosegur Security, the surveillance and technology business, achieved sales of 1,515 million euros in the third quarter of 2022, which represents a growth in revenue of 19.3%.

Prosegur Cash, for its part, reported sales of 1,417 million euros from January to September 2022, 31% more than the same period of the previous year, while the alarm activity, Prosegur Alarms, has closed the first half of the year with a total connection base that already exceeds 786,000, an increase of close to 18% compared to the first nine months of 2021.

Of the total connections, 431,000 correspond to Movistar Prosegur Alarms and 355,000 to Prosegur Alarms, which groups all operations outside of Spain. Prosegur Alarms has registered sales of 142 million euros, with a positive organic growth of 23.0%.

Prosegur AVOS, the business line specializing in process outsourcing and digital transformation for the financial and insurance sectors, has reported growth of 38.9% to 63 million euros in the third quarter of 2022.

Finally, Cipher, the cybersecurity unit, achieved sales in the first nine months of 2022 of 10 million euros.
