The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public’s help in finding a man wanted for sex crimes and not seen since last May.
A grand jury indicted Jorge Bravo-Copado last week on three first-degree rape charges, three first-degree sexual abuse charges and an unlawful sexual penetration charge. According to a news release, a child younger than 12 years old told detectives she had been assaulted multiple times by Bravo-Copado in May.
Detectives say he hasn’t been seen since then. Bravo-Copado’s Facebook page and bank account were closed last summer, and his truck was found abandoned in a remote area of Yamhill County.
The suspect, who lived in Washington County and works in construction, kept tools inside his truck, and they are missing, according to the Sheriff’s Office. They don’t suspect foul play after finding his vehicle.
Detectives did not release a description of the man. Anyone with information about Bravo-Copado’s whereabouts is asked to call detectives at 503-846-2500.
