No one was hit, but one man was believed to have injured his leg when shots were fired at a West Chatham neighborhood Red Line "L" stop, leading to a half-hour shutodown on southernmost part of the line, authorities said.
The shooting incident took place at the 87th Street Station, 15 W. 87th St., about 6:55 p.m., according to a police spokesman. No one suffered a gunshot wound, but a man was believed to have injured his leg.
The incident, in which unauthorized people were on the "L" tracks, caused a shutdown of power south of 63rd Street for 33 minutes, a spokeswoman for the CTA said.
