Toronto Raptors star player Pascal Siakam was named to the NBA Third Team All-Star for the 2021-2022 season on Tuesday.
The Cameroonian received this honor for the second time in his career, having been named to the second team of stars at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign.
Siakam set several personal highs last season in game averages, including rebounds (8.5), assists (5.3) and minutes played (37.9). He also had 22.8 points per game, 0.1 shy of his career high, set in 2019-20.
Only six Raptors players have received this honor in franchise history. Siakam is only the third to be named there twice, along with Vince Carter and DeMar DeRozan. Kyle Lowry, Chris Bosh and Kawhi Leonard were elected once each while wearing the “Dinosaurs” uniform.
On the All-Star Third Team, Siakam is joined by LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Chris Paul (Phoenix Suns), Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks).
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Devin Booker (Suns), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) are the top of the class, those who were named on the all-star first team.
Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), DeMar DeRozan (Chicago Bulls), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) and Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) form the second.
