The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, assured this Monday that the Government is working “fully” to present the General State Budgets (PGE) for 2024 before the end of the first quarter of the year.

Sánchez, in an interview with RNE reported by Europa Press, indicated that the Executive will try to present the 2024 public accounts “as soon as possible” to continue advancing towards a “triple objective”: to promote job creation and the gain of social and economic rights. improve coexistence.

“We are trying to make it happen as soon as possible (to register the PGE), but we have had the investiture when we have had it. We are working between the ministries to achieve budgets that I believe are very important to continue with this triple objective of job creation, of social rights and coexistence,” he stressed.

The Head of the Executive has highlighted that “Spain shines with its own light on the international economic scene”, leading economic growth in the forecasts of the main European economies “in a context as complex” as the current one.

“We have created more than half a million jobs during this last year thanks to the boost from the Spanish economy and also without a doubt from European funds,” Sánchez defended.

The President of the Government has also highlighted that, in terms of rights, after having experienced a pandemic and war in Ukraine and now also in the Middle East, inequality rates have been reduced to levels unknown “until before the 2008 financial crisis.” “. “I think we are doing important things and in the area of ​​coexistence as well,” added the head of the Executive.
