A player of Sevilla FC, who must face the ACE Rome on the 6th of August in the 8th of final of the Europa League, has been tested positive for the Covid-19, announced on Wednesday the club, fuelling anxiety about the recovery of European Cups football next week.

“After the PCR tests carried out last Sunday on the players, the staff and the rest of the staff, and the results of which were known Monday, July 27th, a member of the first team has been tested positive for the Covid-19,” said the club in a press release. “The person is asymptomatic, in good health and is isolated at home,” is it added, without specifying the identity of the player.
