The Paulsboro, Delsea and Kingsway wrestling teams traveled to the Pine Belt Arena in Toms River Sunday with hopes of bringing home a state championship.
Paulsboro defeated Cedar Grove in the Group 1 semifinal, 49-18, before heading to a rematch of last year’s Group 1 final against Kittatinny. In 2016, it was a 28-27 victory for Paulsboro, but this year the Red Raiders earned a convincing 44-16 win. This was the 30th state title for the team, and the first undefeated season since 2000.
