NEW YORK — Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving is out for Saturday’s game against the New York Knicks with right quad soreness, according to the team.

Irving did not participate in the morning shootaround, as he received treatment on his leg.

Irving had a career-high 14 assists in his team’s 125-97 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Knicks guard Derrick Rose will also be unavailable for tonight’s game due to an ankle injury. This is his fourth game missed due to the injury.

Cleveland has won its last six games at Madison Square Garden.
