Surrounded by TV cameras, Revis entered a Municipal Courts building and didn’t answer questions on his way in.

He was accompanied by his lawyer, Blaine Jones, and his mother and aunt, Pittsburgh’s Post-Gazette reported.

"He wanted to turn himself in, he didn’t want to be a fugitive from the law," Jones told the Post-Gazette. "He wanted to make this happen."

A docket sheet filed Thursday says Revis faces counts of aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and terroristic threats over the Sunday altercation.

Jones said the former Buc was physically assaulted by a group of at least five people. He said Revis "feared for his safety" and sought medical attention. He hasn’t described Revis’ injuries.

Police say the fight started when a man asked Revis if he was an NFL player, then told Revis he didn’t believe that he was. The man then began following Revis and recording a video of him. Police said Revis grabbed the phone and threw it in the street. The two men other men joined in and that they were punched and knocked out. A witness said the two men were unconscious for 10 minutes.

Responding police officer Anthony Burke said the video showed Revis walking away from the men, and saying "Why are you following me?" Then the video stops.
