Northwestern is looking to end a two-game skid and will try to do it against the Big Ten’s best team, Wisconsin, without its top scorer, Scottie Lindsey.
Lindsey will miss his third consecutive game because of mono. He could return for Wednesday’s game against Maryland, but it’s also possible he doesn’t come back until the Wildcats face Rutgers on Saturday.
Nathan Taphorn will start in Lindsey’s place. Freshman Isiah Brown had started the previous two games for Lindsey.
Wisconsin (21-3, 10-1 Big Ten) has won eight straight and is 13-0 at home.
Ethan Happ leads the Badgers with 14.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, not to mention he averages 2.7 assists.
Vic Law (13.6 points) and Bryant McIntosh (13.5 points, 5.5 assists) will lead the Wildcats (18-6, 7-4) likely will lead the Wildcats in Lindsey’s absence.
