HOUSTON — From the looks of it, Carson Wentz was pretty fired up to throw a football again after taking a break since the Eagles season ended on New Year’s Day against the Dallas Cowboys.
Wentz was a guest on Good Morning America LIVE from the Super Bowl in Houston on Thursday and took part in a throwing drill that is part of the NFL Fan Experience.
In a drill designed for fun, Wentz knocked a guy to the ground.
In the next couple of weeks, Wentz will get back to work with passing coach Adam Dedeaux on improving his throwing motion, footwork and mechanics after taking a complete break from throwing footballs for the last month.
Wentz or Prescott? Troy Aikman says …
“I have not,” Wentz said, when asked if he has picked up a football since the season ended. “It was tough for me. It was tough for me. I made a deal with Frank [Reich] that I would not throw for a few weeks.
“I actually just threw on set for someone else. It’s the first time I’ve thrown in a month. The first couple weeks was good. Watching some of these games, I just wanted to get out into the back yard and throw around. I need that time. Now I’m here and really, really soon I’ll be back out there throwing.”
