Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum appeared pretty impressed with his newest teammate, center Jusuf Nurkic, following Tuesday’s practice in Tualatin.

“He’s very skilled, can move, strong as an ox,” McCollum said when asked of his first impressions of the 7-foot, 280-pound center acquired by the Trail Blazers on Sunday in a trade with the Denver Nuggets. “I look forward to seeing him play.”

McCollum and his teammates will get a first glance in live action when the Portland faces the Utah Jazz in the final game before the All-Star break on Wednesday.

In the video above, McCollum discusses what the addition of Nurkic will mean for the Blazers’ offense and says he thinks the “Bosnian Beast” will “help us right away.”
