Wilson 51, Lehighton 15 – Rapid Recap 

Wilson wrestling team rolled to a 51-15 victory over Lehighton in the District 11 Class 2A quarterfinals on Thursday night at Northern Lehigh High School.

Turning points: The Warriors, the second seed, got pins from Jonathan Consorti (113 pounds) and Marckis Branford (120) to jump out to a 12-0 lead. Jared Corriere followed with a 15-0 technical fall in 4:52 at 126 pounds to give Wilson complete control after three bouts.

Top performers: Consorti, Branford, Zavery Lesher (3:25 at 138 pounds), Josh Roberti (1:28 at 182), Trevor Loebsack (0:17 at 285) and Elijah Bundro (0:52 at 106) all had pins for the Warriors. Corriere picked up a technical fall and Alec Snyder (195) had a major decision for Wilson. 

What it means: The second-seeded Warriors will face third-seeded Pine Grove in the semifinals at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Freedom High School. Pine Grove beat Pen Argyl 45-30 in the quarterfinals. The Warriors improved to 19-3 on the season. Lehighton will face Pen Argyl in a consolation match at 9 a.m. Saturday at Freedom High School.
