The Aire group has acquired the Canary Islands company specialized in connectivity services and data centers Idecnet, a transaction – the amount of which has not been disclosed – and with which the company expands its network infrastructure and adds a new data center , as reported by the company in a statement.
The incorporation of Idecnet, which in 2023 had a turnover of around 4 million euros, is part of the Aire group’s strategy of acquiring companies that allow it to boost its growth, enhance its positioning and create synergies in its portfolio of solutions, the company has highlighted.
Idecnet, created in 1995 and based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is specialized in advanced technological solutions and personalized attention and provides connectivity, data center and voice services to around 1,100 business clients, public administrations and operators in the Canary Islands. .
Idecnet’s portfolio is supported by its “extensive” own fiber network in Gran Canaria and Tenerife and its own data center in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In addition, it ranges from “advanced connectivity” solutions to ‘data center’ services that “integrate perfectly with Aire group solutions.”
“The arrival of Idecnet to Grupo Aire responds to our national and international growth strategy, which is based on incorporating companies that help us reinforce our commitment to customers (…). With the union of Idecnet, we consolidate our positioning in the Canary Islands, expanding our network and data center infrastructure with the help of one of the main players in the ‘telco’ market in the islands,” said the CEO of the Aire group, Raúl Aledo.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Idecnet, Juan Manuel Castellano, has highlighted that the integration of his company into the Aire group will allow his company to increase the infrastructure and services they offer to Canarian firms outside the islands.
“The entry into the Aire group also favors the approach to companies in the audiovisual industry that are established in the Canary Islands to become their service provider through a complete portfolio of solutions,” added the manager.
