The Ibex 35 fell 0.63% in the half session on Tuesday, which brought it to stand at 9,285.6 integers, on a day marked by the publication of the CPI for May in the United States.

This is one of the three key appointments this week for investors, along with the meeting of the United States Federal Reserve (Fed), where the market expects a pause in the rate hike, and the European Central Bank (ECB). ), which, on the contrary, could apply a new rise of 25 basis points.

Among the references for this Tuesday that are already known, the confirmed CPI for May in Spain stands out, which did not change in relation to the previous month, but cut its interannual rate by nine tenths, to 3.2%, its lowest level since July 2021, due to lower fuel and food prices, which moderated the growth of their prices by nine tenths, up to 12%.

Likewise, core inflation (excluding unprocessed food and energy products) fell five tenths in May, to 6.1%, standing 2.9 points above the general CPI and at its lowest level since July 2022.

On the other hand, the Public Treasury has placed 2,069.96 million euros this Tuesday in an auction of three- and nine-month bills, in the expected average range, and has done so remunerating investors with higher interest rates and close to 3 .5% in the case of the nine-month reference, according to data published by the Bank of Spain. The demand in this auction has exceeded 5,343 million euros, more than double the amount finally awarded.

In addition, it has been known that the confidence of German investors has improved slightly in June, ending three consecutive monthly falls, according to the indicator of the Leibniz Center for European Economic Research (ZEW, for its acronym in German).

In this context, the biggest increases were registered by IAG (0.98%), Repsol (0.90%), Indra (0.53%), Inditex (0.47%), Acerinox (0.38%) and Amadeus (0.35%). On the other hand, the biggest falls were for Grifols (-2.97%), BBVA (-2.11%), Solaria (-1.98%), Colonial (-1.84%), ACS (-1, 60%) and Rovi (-1.33%).

Telefónica and Acciona Energía were trading today without the right to receive the dividend, registering falls of 4.66% and 2.41%. However, discounting this effect, the decreases moderated to 0.73% and 0.25% respectively.

The main European stock markets traded positively, with slight gains of 0.09% in London, 0.14% in Frankfurt and 0.15% in Paris. Only Milan fell 0.09% in the half session.

In the raw materials market, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at a price of 73.08 dollars, with a rise of 1.73%, while Texas was trading at 68 .10 dollars, with a rise of 1.46%.

In the foreign exchange market, the value of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0804 ‘green bills’, while the Spanish risk premium was around 95 points, with the interest required on the ten-year Spanish bond at 3.321 %.
