The number of women workers in the Renfe Group has increased by 65% ​​in the last four years, from 1,965 in 2018 to 3,247 today, according to the company.

In this way, the female presence in the company’s workforce now reaches 20%, seven points more than in 2018. Renfe is developing policies that integrate equal treatment and opportunities between women and men.

In operational positions (driving, commercial and workshops), the presence of women in internal and external calls has been growing in recent years, mainly in the Commercial group, where women already occupy 33.2% of the positions. In fact, in some of these positions, such as entry operators and entry operators, there are already more women than men (58.9% and 50.2%, respectively).

Likewise, the Driving group has doubled the female presence in the last four years, going from representing 3.3% in 2018 to 7.4% today. The highest percentage of women is concentrated in the Management area, which is close to parity with a 42.6% female presence.
