An Orlando man was killed after he was pinned between his vehicle and a guardrail near Apopka early Sunday, officials said.

Anthony Hanks, 44 of Orlando, was driving south on Lakeville Road under the overpass of State Road 414 when his Chevrolet Tahoe crossed over into the northbound lane, troopers said.

The left front of the Tahoe struck a guardrail, partially ejecting Hanks, a trooper’s crash report states.

Then, the vehicle crossed back into the southbound lane and the right side collided with the guardrail.

Finally it crossed back into the northbound lane and collided with the guardrail, pinning Hanks between the car and the guardrail, troopers said.

Hanks, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was killed in the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
