“Girls,” starring the oft-naked and angsty Lena Dunham as a post-college millennial looking for meaning in life, career, love and friendship, returns to HBO for its sixth and final season Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017.
The show airs at 7 p.m. (Pacific and Eastern) on the premium cable network.
The Sunday scheduling of “Girls,” along with its season traditionally kicking off during the beginning of the year, means that the show is pitted against major awards shows like the Grammys (Feb. 12) and the Oscars (Feb. 26).
Since most HBO shows air numerous times, awards-show viewers have many opportunities to see “Girls” during its various airings.
The first episode of “Girls” for Season 6 is titled “All I Ever Wanted.” In the episode, according to IMDB, Dunham’s character Hannah is tasked with writing about a female surf camp instructor in the Hamptons, where she meets “an uncomplicated water-skiing instructor.” Allison Williams’ character Marnie tells boyfriend — or whatever he is to her — Ray (Alex Karpovsky) that he’s wearing out his welcome at her apartment.
“Girls” also stars Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke, Adam Driver and Andrew Rannells.
