In Nigeria, after an attack by Islamist group Boko Haram is uncertain of a girls ‘ school where 111 pupils are staying. There is no information on ir whereabouts, said police Minister of state of Yobe, Abdulmaliki Sumonu. So far, he continued, he said, no kidnapping case had been confirmed. The militia Boko Haram, however, has been known for years to abduct girls and to keep m captive for years.

After attack on school, residents had initially reported that all pupils could have fled with ir teachers. In fact, 815 pupils were able to flee to a boarding school in Dapchi in norast of country after attack, which had already taken place on Monday. However, members of pupils later reported that y had not sought any message from ir daughters and in surrounding villages in vain. The parents fear that ir children have been kidnapped by Islamists.

Boko Haram had kidnapped in April 2014 from a school in Chibok 276 girls. The case caused horror and outrage worldwide. Since n, 164 of girls could flee or have been released. 112 of pupils are still in hands of Islamists.

Since year 2009, Boko Haram has been violently fighting for establishment of an Islamic God state in majority Muslim norast of Nigeria. In conflict, at least 20,000 people have been killed and 2.6 million have been forced to flee. The extremists repeatedly perpetrate attacks and raids on villages, churches, schools, security forces, politicians and representatives of authorities. Since 2009, Islamists have also abducted thousands of people.
