CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cleveland man was shot during a drive-by shooting in the city’s Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, police said.

The 18-year-old victim was shot in his right shoulder during the Saturday incident at East 153rd Street and Kinsman Road.

The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. outside the home of his child’s great-grandmother, according to a Cleveland police report.

The man told police he was outside speaking with the brother of his child’s mother when a silver vehicle with tinted windows drove by. Someone inside the car began shooting at the pair, prompting the victim to turn and run, the report says.

The man was struck by a bullet as he ran up the driveway, police say. He retreated into the house, where the other man’s girlfriend agreed to drive him to South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, police say.

Investigators have not charged anyone in connection with the incident but the case remains under investigation.
