CLEVELAND, Ohio – First to Eleven took the next step in becoming the first to threepeat as champion of the Tri-C High School Rock Off on Saturday night.

The band from Erie, Pennsylvania – back-to-back winners of the event that’s now in its 21st year – became one of three bands to move to the Saturday, Feb. 25, Final Exam at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Also making the Final Exam Saturday night were Last Minute, from Marion Steele High School and Man Cried Wolf, from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.

Those three bands join Funeral Proposals, from Copley, Elleet and Mogodore; No Good Solutions, from Lake Catholic, Orange and Riverside; the Frats, from Avon Lake; the Waves, from Archbishop Hoban and Woodridge; Montage, from Cleveand School of the Arts; and Lonely Pirate Committee, from Lake Catholic, Shaker Heights and University School.

The fourth and last semifinal round of the Rock Off will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Rock Hall. Tickets for that are $10, available from any participating band member as well as at the Rock Hall box office and online at rockhall.com
