PEPPER PIKE, Ohio — Hit-skip, I-271: A Lyndhurst man reported that he was exiting the northbound express lanes about 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 in his 2010 Ford Focus when he was struck by a silver car, possibly a Chevy, near Fairmount Boulevard.
The male driver of that car did not stop, but the victim gave police a license plate number that was traced to a Cleveland woman. She was reached later by phone and said her car was not involved in the crash.
Disturbance, Cedar Road: Police responded late morning on Jan. 29 to the Cedar House intermediate group home, to take a report of a disturbance between two employees that had taken place nearly two hours earlier.
Runaway, Chagrin Boulevard: Shortly before 7 p.m. on Jan. 27, police were dispatched to the Pinetree Road area for a juvenile boy who had walked away from the New Directions drug treatment facility. The surrounding area was checked, and he was located and taken back.
Driving under suspension, Gates Mills Boulevard: A Woodmere man, 67, was stopped on the afternoon of Jan. 26 after a registration check showed his license was suspended. He was taken to the Beachwood Jail to post bond and his 2008 Honda Accord was towed from the scene.
Fictitious license plates, Park Point Court and Brainard Road: A Wickliffe man, 59, was stopped Jan. 25 after a registration check on a Saturn Vue came back to a BMW. The driver was cited and the SUV was towed.
Fraud, Creekside Drive: An officer spoke with a resident on Jan. 24, about a fraud report involving credit accounts at Sears and Target.
