Two Boulder dogs are getting their 15 minutes of fame on national TV.

NBC’s “Today” show has aired features on two dogs originally featured in the Daily Camera, one for his job delivering papers to the neighbor and the other for his unusual bond with a mailman.

“Today” posted a short video on Wednesday of Quincy, a golden retriever who lives on Simmons Drive and every morning grabs papers from his neighbors’ driveways and plops them on their porches.

Quincy is actually the second golden retriever that owner Paul Goldan has trained to deliver papers.

“If he can do our paper, he can do everybody’s paper,” Goldan told the Daily Camera.

“Today” also sent a reporter to Boulder in January to do a story on Tashi, an elderly dog that formed a bond with mailman Jeff Kramer so strong that Kramer helped build a ramp for Tashi to get up and down the stairs at his home on Bluebell Avenue.

Kramer actually had the ramp for his own elderly dog, Odie. But after Odie passed away, Kramer saw that Tashi needed it and decided to help out.

“I just noticed they needed it,” Kramer told the Daily Camera. “I didn’t need it anymore and I hate throwing things away.”
