Vladimir Putin wants to meet President Trump in Melania Trump’s home country.

Slovenia has offered to host a meeting between the presidents of Russia and the US — and Putin on Friday said he’s ready to do go if Trump will, the Associated Press reported.

“It depends not only on us, but we are naturally ready for it,” Putin said, after meeting with Slovenian leader Borut Pahor at the Kremlin Friday.

Putin also heralded his relationship with the new American president.

“We always welcomed that and we hope that relations will be restored in full in all areas,” the Russian president said.

“It relates to trade and economic ties, security issues and various regions of the world, which are suffering from numerous conflicts. By pooling our efforts, we naturally would be able to significantly contribute to solving those issues, including the fight against international terrorism,” he added.

The leader of Slovenia has been trying to play matchmaker for months to give his small country a larger role on the world stage.

If Trump were to accept the offer, it would not be the first time an American president met with his Russian counterpart in the small European nation.

In 2001, President George W. Bush held his first meeting with Putin in Slovenia.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
