Police are investigating after a woman in her 20s claimed a stranger tried to sexually assault her in the lobby of a building at the Stuyvesant Town apartment complex in Manhattan, police sources said.
The victim was entering her building on East 20th Street when the suspect attacked around 5 a.m. Sunday.
The man, whom she did not know, allegedly tried to sexually assault her in the lobby of the building, police sources said.
The suspect fled the building before he could rape her.
The victim was not seriously injured, officials said.
Police are still investigating the incident.
