STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – It’s that time again – time for the much anticipated Strongsville’s Rotary Chili Open. The 26th Anniversary Chili Open Golf Classic will take place on Sat. Feb. 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, hosted by The Rotary Club of Strongsville and The Strongsville Rotary Club Foundation.

It’s more than just a refreshing game of winter golf – it’s playing in the snow! We really know golfers are crazy when they even play in the snow. The Chili Open Golf Classic is a full day of fun, including: golf, celebrity auction and Grand Prize Raffle that this year is a dugout loge for 10 at an Indians game. You will also have a chance to win the use of a Cadillac Escalade for two years, hourly 50/50 drawings, a $350 Walmart Gift Card and a 55″ flat screen TV donated by Costco.

You don’t even have to like chili either – but who doesn’t like chili? Besides Wendy’s famous chili there will also be all you can eat pizza, sausage and wings, plus beer, coffee, assorted beverages and desserts. And it’s all for charity. This year charities include: Applewood Centers, Achievement Centers (Camp Cheerful), Hope for Honduran Children, Easter Seals, Youth Challenge and The Upside of Downs.

With the generous support of area businesses the Chili Open Golf Classic, organized by the Rotary Club of Strongsville, has raised more than $2 million for charity since 1992. The all-volunteer event has become a February tradition in Northeastern Ohio, drawing nearly 1,000 golfers who tee off into blasts of frigid air, putt across frosty greens and warm up in a hall full of hot food and sizzling activities, like the action-packed celebrity auction.

Tickets to the Chili Open are $45 and are available at the door. Online pre-registration is available for $35, or $140 for a foursome until Feb. 23. Tickets will be held at the door. Please bring the emailed receipt with you to the event as proof of payment.
