Drunken driving, Lear Nagle Road: Officers responded to a citizen’s complain of a reckless driver on Feb. 4. The driver was cited for drunken driving, expired registration and refusing a breath test. The passenger was also determined to be intoxicated. Upon arrival at the police station, she became disorderly and resisted arrest. She was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct persisting and became combative during the booking process. She was charged with resisting arrest and released to a sober driver.
Breaking and entering, Center Ridge Road: On Feb. 21, a suspect unsuccessfully attempted to break and enter a business.
Drug investigation, Lorain Road: A North Olmsted man was booked into jail after a traffic stop on Feb. 11. Police searched the car of the suspect, who was driving under suspension, and discovered numerous prescription medications and a small amount of marijuana. He faces two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Obstructing official business, Lorain Road: On Feb. 13, police stopped a Vermilion man for a traffic violation. During the investigation, police determined the suspect lied about his identity and had felony warrants out for his arrest. He was arrested and jailed.
Disorderly conduct, Bainbridge Road: On Feb. 13, North Ridgeville High School reported a 17-year-old who had not been at school for several days arrived at the school and appeared under the influence of drugs. The suspect became unruly and persisted in disorderly conduct. She was disciplined by the school, released to her guardian, and will be referred to juvenile court.
Assault, Cook Road: Officers were dispatched for a disturbance on Jan. 13 that resulted in a North Ridgeville man being charged with assault and a Cleveland man being charged with criminal damaging, theft and assault.
Drunken driving, Lorain Road: On Feb. 6, a Taco Bell employee reported a suspected drunken driver in the drive-through. Police stopped the suspected and arrested him on charges of felony drunken driving and driving under suspension. He was held without bail pending arraignment.
