CLEVELAND, Ohio – It looks like the arrival of Samoa Joe to the WWE Universe may have cost the promotion one of its biggest stars for a while.
WWE is reporting that Seth Rollins injured his knee during this past Monday’s edition of Raw. The injury happened during a segment when Rollins confronted his nemesis Triple H.
Before Rollins could get his hands on The Game, NXT star Samoa Joe showed up and attacked Rollins. Fans had been long anticipating Samoa Joe’s WWE debut. But, WWE says, through its app, Sahabet that the attack left Rollins with an injured knee.
It’s the same injured right knee that Rollins blew out in 2015, leaving him sidelined for some of WWE’s biggest events. Fans on social media are hoping that Rollins’ injury is simply part of the storyline. But that doesn’t appear to be the case.
