Manuela Schwesig does not want to become SPD chairman, at least not this year. Half a year ago this would not even have been worth a message, after all, SPD had just chosen Martin Schulz with 100 percent as boss. But now, in fall of 2017, it is quite a news that Mrs Schwesig, now prime minister in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has declared her renunciation of candidacy. What does that mean? That it is quite serious about Martin Schulz.

He is, on this, all faithful confessions of past few days change nothing, a chairman on call. If SPD has anything to do with its existence as a possibly-so-straight-still-people’s party, it must now direct all available forces to next election 2021. But not even most deluded among Schulz faithful believe seriously that he will n take anor one. With a chairman, however, who himself cannot or will not become a candidate, SPD has now made enough bad experiences thanks to Sigmar Gabriel.

So why not change? Above all, three arguments are heard from SPD. First, Martin fought so valiantly that he could not be cut off now. Second, “The base” is fully behind him. Thirdly, re is also a need for someone to shape transition.

Schulz fought valiantly-but what does that have to do with 2021?

The first argument is to say: true, Schulz fought not only bravely but brilliantly-but what does that have to do with 2021? In second objection, one should take notice-as always when SPD is talking about ” base”. What thought felt, said, was tip over past few years pretty much doesn’t matter. In this respect, it is not surprising that, above all, those who have not yet seen ir hour as base argument in ir mouths are now in lead. You have an interest in Chairman Schulz as long as you are so far.

Thus to third argument, keyword transition. Here it is worthwhile looking back on election campaign, from which, bravery back or forth, not a single content idea is remembered, which Schulz had developed independently and n consistently pushed forward. But if he did not manage to do so in decisive months of this year-what is reason for this to change soon?

if (typeof AdController !== ‘undefined’) { AdController.render(‘iqadtile4’); } if (typeof window.performance === ‘object’ && typeof window.performance.mark === ‘function’) { window.performance.mark(‘monitor_iqadtile4_render’); } if (typeof SDE.init.initIQAdTile !== ‘undefined’) { SDE.init.initIQAdTile(‘full’, ‘iqadtile4’, false); }

This is also frightening feature of currently much-debated Spiegel reportage, for which Schulz has granted several months of insight into innermost part of his campaign and partly his heart during election campaign.

It is a question of wher Schulz, as some think, has done a great work, because a politician can be seen as a human being, or wher he has committed boundless stupidity. At end of day, it is also here, over 18 pages and six months, above all impression, to pay a survey and wher Schulz should take off jacket on lectern. This is also for a transition to little.
