The Allies have extended term of office of General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg by two years. The former Norwegian head of government remained in office until September 30, 2020, and shared military alliance. The Allies would have “full confidence” in Stoltenbergs ability to advance NATO’s adaptation to 21st century security challenges. The decision to Stoltenberg was unanimous.
