A Bay Area brewery open in Ballard? Yes.
Lagunitas made that minor incursion into Seattle’s beer center in January. The big time Sonoma County brewer, half-owned by Heineken, opened the doors to its taproom quietly at the former site of Hilliard’s Beer.
Though the Lagunitas’ dogface is plenty familiar to Seattle beer drinkers, the taproom will highlight beers from the brewery that had been hard to come by away from the Bay.

The Lagunitas tap room will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is expected to open a kitchen in coming weeks.
