SAN ANTONIO — Police say a man was shot three times Monday following an argument at an apartment complex in the city’s Northwest Side.
Officers responded to the shooting around 11 a.m. In the 5800 block of Northwest Loop 410, where they say they found the shooting victim, two witnesses and a large amount of marijuana.
“There’s all kinds of stuff up there,” said San Antonio Police Department Sgt. Steve Priore. “It’s a mess.”
Priore said it appears as though the shooting was the result of a drug deal gone bad, but police aren’t sure because the victim and the witnesses are being uncooperative.
“Everybody is lying to us,” Priore said.

The witnesses, who are currently being detained by police, said a group of men known to the victim stormed into the apartment complex, got into an argument with the victim and the two witnesses and then one member of group shot the victim twice in the leg and once in the stomach.
The suspects fled in an unknown vehicle, according to police. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
Priore said detectives are going to interview the witnesses and sift through the evidence found inside the apartment.
It is unclear if the victim or the witnesses will face criminal drug charges related to the incident.
