CLINTON – The Red Mill in this small town in Hunterdon County is one the iconic images of rural New Jersey.
It’s been photographed, it’s been captured by artists on canvas and it’s even been memorialized in chocolate.
While some debate the best time of year to capture the Mill, a winter’s day after the first snow storm of the season certainly ranks near the top of the list.

Thursday’s snow brought just enough to turn the town into a postcard, and from the air it looks even more amazing, as if A Christmas Carol has been brought to life. This is, after all, the community that holds Dicken’s Days every Christmas.
The town got a little more than 6 inches of snow, and many residents took to Facebook to share their winter wonderland images.
