A 24-year-old woman was killed Saturday night when the pickup in which she was a passenger drove off the edge of a Walmart parking lot and wrecked on the city’s Southeast Side, San Antonio police say.
Police say the other woman driving the pickup was 38-years-old and also injured in the accident that happened near midnight at the Walmart in the 4700 block of Pecan Valley Drive.
Both women were transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center where one of them was pronounced dead.
Other media report the victim attempted to jump from the vehicle and subsequently run over by the pickup, and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe alcohol may be a factor and continue to investigate.
