South Korean band BTS, or Bangtan Boys, released Monday the music video for another song from their latest album “You Never Walk Alone.” The video for the song, “Not Today,” has already garnered almost 10 million views, less than a day after its release.
The K-pop boy band released their latest album earlier this month, along with the music video for their song, “Spring Day.” “Not Today” is the second music video to be released from the new repackaged album. It is meant to be an anthem for those struggling at some point in their lives, aiming to give them hope.
While “Spring Day,” after its release at midnight Feb. 13, broke records in the country by reaching 10 million views in record 26 hours, “Not Today” had registered almost 10 million views in less than a day of its release, increasing the possibility of BTS breaking many more records.
“You Never Walk Alone” boasts of four new tracks — “Not Today,” “Spring Day,” “Outro: Wings,” and “A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone.” The boy band performed the songs for the first time at their concerts at Seoul’s Gocheok Skydome on Feb. 18-19.
This was the first stop in BTS’ world tour — “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour” — which will see the K-pop sensation make pit stops at Santiago, Chile; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Newark, New Jersey; and Anaheim, California. The band added new locations for the tour last Wednesday — Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong, and Sydney.
After having a fantastic 2016 with a number of national and international accolades, BTS has started 2017 with a bang. The band is expected to break many more records — many of them set by BTS itself — with the new album and subsequent releases.
