CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – Fraud, West Washington Street: Twinsburg police reported on Feb. 8 that someone cashed a fraudulent check inside the Chagrin Falls Huntington Bank branch in excess of $1,000 after a Twinsburg resident’s account had been compromised. An officer requested video footage from the bank on that transaction.

Found Property, Plaza Drive: A credit card was found Feb. 7 and turned in to police. When contacted, the owner had already cancelled it. An officer shredded it.
Traffic Stop, East Washington Street: After stopping a Bainbridge woman, 57, for not having a proper taillight on her vehicle 8:57 p.m. Feb. 8, the officer found an open alcohol container in her vehicle. She was charged with those crimes and was found to have an outstanding warrant from Geauga County for a probation violation. She was turned over to authorities there.
Found Property, East Washington Street: An officer found a credit card in the BP station parking lot Feb. 10. It was destroyed at the request of the credit card company.
Odor Investigation, Maple Street: A resident noticed the smell of burning rubber near the furnace shortly after midnight Feb. 13. An officer investigated and determined that the smell was from a skunk in the area.
Property Damage, Hickory Hill Road: A man reported Feb. 8 that a snowplow truck knocked down his mailbox several days prior. Police notified the service department of the complaint.
