Bexar Pub, the new burger and fried chicken joint from the team behind Folc restaurant, has opened on a limited basis on Brooklyn Avenue  — but there’s no food yet.

According to its Facebook page, the pub is open 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday-Sunday, serving only cocktails and beer  until the kitchen is up and running. “Only bar for a couple weeks. Food coming soon,” the restaurant posted.

When it’s in full swing, Bexar Pub will offer four house burgers — including the Folc burger that Texas Monthly called the best in the state — as well as fried chicken by the piece or bucket and snacks like ceviches, nachos and fish tacos, chef and owner Luis Colón told the Express-News.
