BraunAbility, “the world’s largest manufacturer of wheelchair-accessible vehicles and wheelchair lifts,” sources its components through the same suppliers as Chrysler to ensure quality, the release said.
Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars for FCA North America, said in the release that the vehicle will help FCA’s customers gain the freedom to stay active.
“Whether it’s a veteran, a colleague, friend or a family member, there’s a good chance we all know someone with a physical disability who needs help getting to the places and events that matter most to them,” Kuniskis said in the release.

In addition, FCA announced that the Pacifica, which was named the 2017 North American utility vehicle of the year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit last month, has been added to the list of company vehicles eligible for its Automobility program. That program provides up to a $1,000 reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses to install qualifying adaptive driver or passenger equipment on new Chryslers, Dodges Jeeps, Rams or Fiats, according to a release. The addition of the Pacifica brings the number of eligible vehicles to 25.
