CLAYTON — Two Clayton residents were arrested and police seized 163 bags of heroin after a raid on a North Broad Street house last week.
On Feb. 8, Clayton Police and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on North Broad Street. Police said the warrant was the result of an investigation of two suspects that spanned more than a month.
After searching the suspects’ home, police reportedly found 163 bags of heroin, Suboxone pills, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
The suspects Willis L. Cooper, 35, and Sunshine Jarrell, 35, were both arrested.
Cooper was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, four counts distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jarrell was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance in school zone, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jarrell also had numerous outstanding warrants for her arrest, police said.
