In a Feb. 6 speech, Donald Trump said the media (which includes The Express-Times), was intentionally covering up reports of terrorist attacks. Trump said, “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported.”
“Alternative facts” are his new norm.
On Jan. 23, Trump “documented” that 3-5 million votes in the November 2016 election were fraudulent.
I emailed the Warren County Board of Elections to inquire about county voter fraud. Their answer? Zero million cases of fraud occurred.
On Nov. 21, 2015, candidate Trump said in a speech, “I watched (on television) in Jersey City, New Jersey where thousands and thousands of people (Muslims) were cheering” as the World Trade Center collapsed.
Breitbart News and Howard Stern reported this, but did you hear about this act of Jersey City terrorism celebration anywhere else? No. Another intentionally covered up report?
Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s spokesperson, on four separate occasions referred to the “Bowling Green Massacre.” This massacre was never reported by the media because it never happened.
Trump’s and Conway’s alternative facts are boldface lies.
In his famous 1865 book, “Alice in Wonderland,” Lewis Carroll wrote, “If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrariwise, what is it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?”
Welcome to “All-of-us in Trumpland.”
