Township police said the woman called them about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

The woman was driving on Route 22 and was being followed very closely by a newer blue Ford Mustang, police said. The woman took the Cedar Crest Boulevard exit in the hopes the other driver would stop following her, but he followed her and blocked her car in a residential area, police said.

The male driver got out of his vehicle, approached the woman’s car and punched her in the face through an open window, police said. The man returned to his car, but got out a second time and was recorded on video as he tried to open the victim’s car door, police said.

The man then fled, according to police.

Anyone with information about the incident, the male driver or the car is asked to call police Detective Timothy Shoudt at 610-398-0337.
