AVON LAKE, Ohio — One man and two teenagers were arrested Monday after robbing an 18-year-old in a park at gunpoint, police say.
Rubeen Musa Salem, 19, and the two teenagers were charged with aggravated robbery, according to an Avon Lake police report.
The victim, who knows the three suspected assailants, told investigators that someone cut him during the incident, though reports don’t say where and if it was severe.
The robbery happened just before 3 p.m. in the 31500 block of Walker Road at the Avon Lake and Bay Village city lines.
The victim told police the man and two teens drove him to Walker Road Park and stole his $200 at gunpoint, according to a Bay Village police report.
The three robbers fled the area in a silver vehicle.
Police stopped the trio at Viking Parkway and Bradley Road in Westlake’s West Dover neighborhood, reports said.
Officers got the men out of the car at gunpoint and were arrested.
Salem is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. Feb. 7. Salem does not have an adult criminal history, records show.
