AKRON, Ohio – Two armed robbers took a wallet and five Icehouse beers from two men early Wednesday in Akron, according to a police report.
No one was harmed during the robbery that happened just after 6 a.m. on East South Street near Sweitzer Avenue in the Downtown Akron neighborhood, the report says.
The two 36-year-old victims were walking on East South Street when the robbers told approached them. The robbers pulled out handguns and told the victims to empty their pockets, the report says.
The robbers took a wallet containing a state ID card, five Icehouse beers, a pocket knife and a Samsung Galaxy 7 smartphone. The robbers then ran off through a construction area, the report says.
Officers searched the area but could not find the robbers or any other witnesses.
