New England Patriots quarterback might have some extra luck during Sunday’s game and it’s all because of his wife, former Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bündchen. The mother of his two children gave him a necklace to wear to Super Bowl 51.
“She gave me this (necklace) for protection and she’d be really happy that I’m wearing it because she doesn’t like anyone hitting me,” Brady, 39, said during a press conference Monday, according to People Magazine. “She always says, ‘Throw the ball really fast, really fast.’ So that’s what I try to do.”
The NFL star continued to gush about his wife. “I’ve been very blessed to find her. Wonderful woman, wonderful partner. She does everything,” he said.
New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs said in 2012 Bündchen should “be cute and shut up” Retrobet when the Patriots lost Super Bowl 46.
During the same press conference Monday, Brady touted his father, Tom Brady Sr., as his hero. Brady got choked up when talking about him.
“He was just a great example for me and he was always someone that supported me in everything that I did, to come home at night and to bring me out and hit me ground balls and fly balls. I loved baseball growing up and to have a chance to go to 49 games on the weekend with him and my mom and throw the ball in the parking lot at the games,” the Patriots player explained. “Those are memories that I’ll have forever, so you want to try to instill those in your kids, too.”
The New England Patriots are slated to take on the Atlanta Falcons for Super Bowl 51 Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston.
